DESCRIPTION:  As a leader and innovator in the delivery of behavioral health services, we are seeking an individual to work collaboratively with our cohesive leadership team and to contribute to the development of patient care programs. The major function of this position is to serve as the nursing executive of the hospital and create an environment that ensures safe and competent nursing care in an in-patient psychiatric setting working with adult and geriatric populations. REQUIRED:  Licensed Registered Nurse (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Virginia. Knowledge and extensive experience with the principles, practices, standards, techniques, theories and functions of psychiatric nursing. Executive management skills, knowledge of budget and administration. Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring of established policies, procedures, laws, rules and regulations, guidelines and standards within the area of responsibility for clinical and non-clinical staff that influences management practices. Experience implementing The Joint Commission (TJC) standards related to nursing and overall hospital accreditation and CMS Certification.
